Title We Be All Africans Date 1972-1977 (republished 2016) Authors Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids Type Vinyl record

Idris Ackamoor founded the Pyramids in the early 1970s while attending Antioch College. The band developed its style during a lengthy tour of Africa, living in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Ghana. It combined American jazz and soul with folk and popular music from East and West Africa. In 1977, the band's original line-up broke up. Ackamoor has, however, reformulated the band multiple times. We Be All Africans is one of its newer releases.
