Pumflet Gladiolus (2017) by Ilze Wolff and Kemang Wa Lehulere explores the writings of Gladys Thomas in conversation with the paintings of Gladys Mgudlandlu.

Using the Pumflet Gladiolus flower as a departure point, this vase holds a single stem bought continually from the Adderley Street flower sellers – a small tribute to these spaces of social erasure and our neighbourhood, District Six.
