Polite Force caps made with Proto, the store at A4 Arts Foundation, during Christian Nerf’s residency at the Foundation.

The original caps were made at the same factories that produces the South African Police Service caps: firstly in Johannesburg, and then in Observatory, Cape Town. The text on these first caps was smaller than that on the reissued edition. In addition to the phrase ‘Polite Force’, some recall people’s names, locations, or details of special editions.
