A conversation with Heather Morris, author of ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz.’

In conversation with Pippa Hudson, Morris shares her experience of researching and writing ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz.’ In Morris's telling, the first-time author becomes acquainted with holocaust survivor Lale Sokolov, and earns his trust and ultimately, permission to tell his story. The book traces the meeting of Lale and Gita Sokolov, two Slovakian Jews whose love story begins in Auschwitz, and brings to light the secret which Sokolov kept for most of his life; his work as the camp's tattooist.
