Open Book is a festival of literature, poetry, ideas, and illustration and is held annually in the Cape Town city since 2011.


The Festival takes place over five days, and features over 100 events. Other venues for Open Book 2019 include The Fugard Theatre, The Book Lounge, the District Six Homecoming Centre, and the Cape Town Central Library.
