Artist in Residence Jefferson Bobs Tshabalala
For his second residency at A4, Tshabalala continues to test and evolve his game-show performance project. A hybrid format of a panel, quiz and game show, the project adopts the social media vernacular of screen grabs, vowel free short hand and Black Twitter vents and arrests, to create an interactive chat/sketch/skit encounter.
Exploring new avenues for the project, Tshabalala will be playing with the mediums of podcasting and card games as possible extensions of the game show format.

Jefferson Bobs Tshabalala is the founder and owner of the Johannesburg based live arts production house, Kiri Pink Nob Arts (Pty) Ltd. This company produces straight plays, sketch comedy shows, poetry in performance productions and slams, stand-up comedy shows, and variety bill performance events (music, readings, games, symposiums, etc.). Tshabalala has started to produce game shows for the stage and screen. He also works as a cooperate facilitator, a performance trainer, a dramatic arts teacher, and as a dramaturge.
