Future Nostalgia hosts Joburg-based composer and multi-instrumentalist, João Orecchia in a live improvised session with Reza Khota (guitar), Brydon Bolton (bass), Thokozani Mhlambi (baroque cello and voice).
Future Nostalgia is a a vinyl-centric musicology collective that creates free space for sharing sounds and experiencing music. Founded by Atiyyah Khan and Grant Jurius in 2013, Future Nostalgia lives through listening and jam sessions, hosted in collaboration with live performers and vinyl dj’s, and across venues.
Jurius, Khan and Orrechia play vinyl sets and share tracks from extensive personal collections. Artists Breeze Yoko and Kemang Wa Lehulere (drawing and painting), and Maliq Ntone Edjabe (movement), make spontaneous contributions alongside the performances.

Apocalypse Pantry (Zayaan Kahn and Heather Thompson) serve knowledge and nutrition through the temporary ‘Concocktails v.002’, a selection of hot and cold drinks made with foraged herbs, spices and fynbos tinctures.
