Colourful Erasure: an interaction with Dan Perjovschi's Black & White Cape Town Report.

Dan Perjovschi’s projects involve drawing directly onto the walls of institutions around the world. Following the exhibitions, the drawings are erased. This typically involves painting over the drawings and scraping the walls. Perjovschi collects photos of the erasure process - treating it as a component of the greater project - itself concerned with the right to speak freely and a defence against censorship.

Following Perjovschi’s project at A4, The Black & White Cape Town Report, and in response to his interest in making and unmaking, a workshop was hosted that invited participants to replace or ‘erase’ drawings and text using blocks of colour.

The results were sent to Perjovschi for his archive.
