Contemporary Art Society (CAS) Curatorial Summit at Frieze:
Private in the Public Realm -Towards New Alliances

Addressing new models of partnerships between the public and private sector in the arts, the first CAS Summit at Frieze takes the form of a series of case studies, presented by curators and museum leaders from the UK and beyond.


Programme:
12.00-12.05: Welcome and objectives: Ilaria Puri Purini, Curator of Programmes at the Contemporary Art Society and Lydia Yee, Chief Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery.

12.05 – 12.15: ‘From Private to Public: the Stoutzker Art Collection in Wales’ with Nick Thornton, Head of Fine and Contemporary Art National Museum, Wales.

12.15 – 12.25: ‘Foundations, Initiatives and Partnerships’ with Antonia Carver, Director of Art Jameel, Dubai.

12.25 – 12.35: ‘Creating New Resources’ with Josh Ginsburg, Director A4 Art Foundation, Cape Town.

12.35 – 12.45: ‘Shifts, Conflicts and Paradoxes’ with Katerina Gregos, Chief Curator of Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art.

12.45- 13.30: Discussion on the future of curating. Moderated by Ossian Ward, Content Director, Lisson Gallery.
